Hydronic Underfloor Heating

Step Into a Warmer, Healthier Home.

Efficient, Invisible Heating for Modern Living

Hydronic underfloor heating is a premium heating solution that delivers consistent warmth, energy efficiency, and unmatched comfort. Designed to heat your space from the ground up, this system uses a network of water-filled pipes installed beneath your flooring to create a gentle, radiant heat throughout your home or commercial space.

Unlike traditional heating systems, hydronic underfloor heating provides an even temperature distribution without cold spots, making every step warm and comfortable.

What is Hydronic Underfloor Heating?

Hydronic underfloor heating (also known as wet underfloor heating) works by circulating warm water through durable pipes embedded beneath the floor surface. The heated water radiates warmth upward, heating the entire room evenly and efficiently.

This system is typically connected to a heat source such as a boiler or heat pump and operates at lower temperatures than conventional radiators, making it highly energy-efficient.

Why Go Hydronic?

Unmatched Efficiency

Water is a superior heat conductor compared to air. When paired with a modern air-to-water heat pump, these systems can significantly reduce your monthly energy bills.

Healthier Living

Traditional forced-air systems circulate dust, pet dander, and allergens. Hydronic heating is radiant; it moves no air, making it the “Gold Standard” for families with asthma or respiratory sensitivities.

Total Design Freedom

Say goodbye to wall-mounted units. Because the system is entirely hidden under your flooring, you have 100% of your wall space available for furniture and art.

Zoned Comfort

Why heat the whole house when you’re only using one room? Our systems allow for “Smart Zoning,” giving you precise temperature control for every room in your home.

Solutions for Every Build

In-Slab (New Builds)

The most popular choice for new homes. The pipes are tied to the reinforcing mesh before the concrete is poured. The concrete slab acts as a “thermal mass,” holding and radiating heat long after the system is turned off.

Screed Systems (Renovations)

Ideal for existing homes or floor-leveling projects. Pipes are laid on top of the existing floor and covered with a thin layer of specialized screed, allowing for a faster response time and minimal height increase.

Timber Floor Solutions

We use specialized aluminum spreader plates to ensure even heat distribution for joisted timber floors, bringing the luxury of underfloor warmth to traditional NZ villas and builds.

Do you have questions?

Yes. It works best with tile and polished concrete, but we also design systems for engineered timber, laminate, and carpet.
In-slab systems take a few hours to warm up but hold heat all day. Screed systems respond much faster, usually within 30–60 minutes.
No. Using water is more efficient than air. When paired with an Air-to-Water Heat Pump, it is one of the cheapest ways to heat a home in New Zealand.
Very little. A quick annual check of the manifold and heat pump pressure is all that’s needed to keep it running perfectly.
Yes. Smart Zoning allows you to set different temperatures for your living areas and bedrooms to save energy.
We use continuous PEX-a piping with no joints under the floor. It is designed to last 50+ years and is extremely secure.
